Unlocking seamless operations with Patchworks’ iPaaS and OneStock’s OMS
A conversation with Jim Herbert, CEO at Patchworks
In this partner spotlight, we’re thrilled to share insights from the Patchworks team on their journey, vision, and what makes their collaboration with OneStock so compelling. From their innovative approach to integration to our shared mission of helping brands create seamless omnichannel experiences, this spotlight highlights how Patchworks and OneStock are working together to redefine the possibilities of a connected business ecosystem.
Can you provide a brief overview of your company?
Patchworks is an iPaaS provider specialising in connecting key business systems for retailers and brands. Our mission is to simplify integration, ensuring that retailers can focus on delivering great customer experiences without being held back by disconnected systems. With a wide range of pre-built connectors for popular platforms like Shopify, NetSuite, and Salesforce, we help businesses of all sizes create a unified ecosystem. One of our notable achievements has been supporting high-growth DTC brands in scaling their operations smoothly, while removing manual processing of data.
Could you explain in simple terms what iPaaS is and why it has become so crucial for retailers and sellers today?
iPaaS stands for Integration Platform as a Service. Simply put, it’s a platform that acts as a bridge between different software systems—like your e-commerce platform, CRM, ERP, OMS, and WMS—so they can ‘talk’ to each other. In retail, where there are multiple touchpoints and systems, iPaaS is crucial because it ensures data flows seamlessly between all these platforms, reducing manual work and the risk of errors. It has become essential today because it allows businesses to respond faster to market changes, scale efficiently, and provide a consistent customer experience.
What drives your team today?
Our journey started when we realised that many retailers were struggling with fragmented systems that didn’t work well together. This led to data silos, operational inefficiencies, and missed opportunities. Today, we are driven by a simple vision: to eliminate these silos and empower retailers to create a truly unified, data-driven operation. As the retail landscape becomes more complex, we’re focused on building even more sophisticated integrations to help our clients stay ahead.
What differentiates your company from others in your industry?
What sets Patchworks apart is our deep specialisation in retail. We don’t just connect systems—we understand the nuances of retail operations, from order management to inventory synchronisation. Our connectors are designed to address retail-specific pain points, and we offer end-to-end support to ensure a smooth implementation. Additionally, our platform’s no-code / low-code flexibility allows us to tailor solutions for both high-growth startups and established enterprises, making us a versatile partner in any retail journey.
Why did you choose to partner with OneStock?
OneStock is an industry leader in Order Management Systems, and we see strong alignment in our missions to simplify retail operations and enhance the customer experience. We chose to partner because OneStock’s solutions are highly adaptable, just like our platform, making it a natural fit. By integrating with OneStock, we can help retailers and System Integrators leverage a unified view of orders and inventory across multiple channels, ultimately delivering on the promise of omnichannel retail.
What specific goals or ambitions do you have for this partnership?
Our primary goal is to build a robust ecosystem where OMS and integration work hand in hand to provide retailers and System Integrators with a seamless, efficient back-end infrastructure. We want to enable them to unlock omnichannel capabilities—like Click and Collect, Ship from Store, and inventory visibility—without the traditional complexity. Together, we aim to reduce implementation time and ensure faster time-to-market for our mutual clients.
How do you see our OMS solutions integrating with your offerings?
OneStock’s OMS is the perfect complement to our integration platform because it provides the critical order orchestration layer that many retailers need. Patchworks handles the heavy lifting of connecting systems and ensuring real-time data flow, while OneStock provides order visibility and fulfilment optimisation. This combination enables retailers to manage complex omnichannel scenarios effortlessly.
What benefits do you think your customers will gain from this partnership?
The key benefit for our customers is reduced complexity. By leveraging both Patchworks and OneStock, they can implement sophisticated omnichannel strategies—such as unified inventory management and automated order routing—without worrying about the technical details. This means faster implementation, fewer operational disruptions, and ultimately, a better customer experience.
How do you envision the partnership evolving?
Our next steps are to develop more pre-built connectors tailored for OneStock users, making it even easier for retailers to integrate their entire stack. We are also planning joint webinars and workshops to educate our shared audience on how to optimise their technology ecosystems using our combined solutions.
In the long term, we see this partnership evolving to support more complex omnichannel journeys, such as integrating with new fulfilment partners, supporting in-store experiences, and offering real-time analytics across the entire retail stack. Our vision is to make Patchworks and OneStock the go-to solution for any retailer looking to build a flexible, future-proof tech stack.
