Orchestra: an agile OMS for its first omnichannel steps

Onestock is pleased to announce the beginning of a new omnichannel adventure with children’s label, Orchestra.

Currently the leading retailer of children’s clothing and childcare products, Orchestra owns a network of more than 600 stores in 40 countries. The network is backed up by an e-commerce operation serving about ten countries around the world, allowing the brand to generate a turnover of more than €600million.

The brand now wants to equip itself with an OMS that will accelerate its omnichannel transformation and offer a unified purchasing experience across all sales channels.

Unified Click and Collect

Previously, Click and Collect orders were systematically shipped from the brand’s Montpellier warehouse within three to ten days and delivered to store. Thanks to the integration of unified Click and Collect, OneStock will allow the brand to orchestrate and select the most relevant point of supply. A Click and Collect order will therefore be fulfilled from the optimal stock location : store stock, a nearby store, or a warehouse.

Ship from Store : Multiple warehouses, multiple countries

Until now, Orchestra’s website has been served by a dedicated warehouse which mainly houses a range of clothing with a small amount of childcare products. Thanks to stock unification, Ship from Store will allow the brand to fulfil orders both from a second warehouse specialising in childcare products, but also from its international network of stores. The website will soon be able to offer a much more substantial childcare range.

At an international level, Ship from Store will favour shipments from local stores rather than shipping from French warehouses ; a win in terms of delivery times and shipping costs.

Optimise picking with the Store as a Warehouse solution

Orchestra stores can have a surface area of up to 5000m2, thus it has been essential to support store staff with a flexible tool allowing them to easily manage the shipment of orders originating from others channels through the implementation of picking, consolidation and order packing processes. With the OneStock “Store as a Warehouse” solution, Orchestra’s employees will, through their sales staff interfaces, be provided with an optimised picking route through the store’s shelves.

Arnaud Pellegrini Orchestra

In the midst of our omnichannel transformation, we were looking for an agile OMS able to deploy new scenarios according to how we evolve. In addition to its expertise in the French retail sector, OneStock offers upgraded sales staff interfaces tailored to retailers. Our sales staff will therefore be assisted from the receipt of an order, through it being picked,to its shipment, child’s play.

Scheduled for April 2019, meaning implementation in only five months, OneStock’s OMS will be connected to the brand’s entire IT ecosystem: Salesforce Commerce Cloud (E-Commerce), Cashier system, Infor (ERP) and Manhattan Associates (WMS).
